How do I use my model in Lychee slicer?

Once you’ve downloaded your generated model, you can open it directly in Lychee Slicer to prepare it for printing.

Option 1: Open directly from the generator

If you’re using Lychee Generator through your account, simply click Slice with Lychee on the model page.

This will automatically launch Lychee Slicer (if it’s installed) and import the generated model into your workspace.

Option 2: Import manually

If you downloaded the .glb file instead, you can import it manually:

  1. Open Lychee Slicer.
  2. Click Add Object or drag and drop the file into the build plate area.
  3. Navigate to your downloaded model and select the .glb file.

The model will appear in your scene, where you can rotate, scale, support, and slice it as usual.

Notes:

  • Generated models are provided in the .glb format, which Lychee Slicer supports natively (you will need version 7.4.5 or above).
  • Depending on the model’s complexity, it may take a few seconds to load.
  • Once imported, you can save your project as a .lys file or export it to your printer’s format.

If you encounter issues importing or viewing the model, please contact us at

contact@mango3d.io and include your Lychee account email and a description of the issue.
